Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Overtake app collects, why, and how you can control it. It complies with the GDPR.

Data controller

Data collected

• Account: sign-in identifier (email address or Sign in with Apple identifier), name (if you share it via Sign in with Apple), username, optional profile picture. Your email is never visible to other players.
• Game activity: predictions, scores, XP, rewards, leagues and relationships between players (friend requests, blocks).
• Preferences: favorite driver and team, notification settings.
• Usage statistics: app usage events (screens viewed, features used) and technical device information, to improve the product. These statistics are linked to your account. You can turn them off at any time in your account settings in the app.
• Push notifications: notification token (a device identifier), only if you allow them.
• Purchases: history of any in-app purchases (app support), handled by RevenueCat and Apple. Overtake does not collect any payment method.
• Photos: the app only accesses your photo library if you choose a profile picture.

We do not collect your location and do not sell any personal data.

Purposes and legal bases

• Providing the service (account, games, leaderboards, friends): performance of a contract.
• Measuring and improving the app: legitimate interest.
• Sending notifications: your consent, which you can change at any time in iOS settings.
• Security and abuse prevention: legitimate interest.

Service providers (processors)

• Supabase: database and authentication.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• PostHog: usage statistics.
• RevenueCat: management of any in-app purchases.
• Apple: Sign in with Apple, push notifications, Game Center.
• Sanity: delivery of news articles (no personal data).

Some providers may process data outside the European Union, with appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or equivalent).

Retention

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, it is erased or anonymized, unless the law requires otherwise.

Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability. You can delete your account directly in the app, or write to contact@marc-ernoult.fr. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

Children

Overtake is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
